Rules for Abstract Submission
Please read the following rules carefully before submitting your abstract.
•  Online Submission Only:
Abstracts must be submitted exclusively via the online submission system on this website. Abstracts submitted by email will not be accepted.
•  Presentation Types:
You may select your preferred presentation format from the following options:
  ◦Oral Presentation
  ◦Poster Presentation
  ◦Oral or Poster (No preference)
  ◦Young Pathologist Award
  Note: The Scientific Committee reserves the right to make the final decision on the presentation format.
•  Bursary Application:
If you wish to apply for a bursary, please visit the IAP Central website for eligibility and criteria.
Please note that in addition to your abstract submission, you must complete the bursary application through the IAP Central website to be considered for selection.
•  Young Pathologist Award:
If you wish to apply for the Young Pathologist Award, please visit https://iap2026.com/young_pathologist.html and prepare the required documents before starting your abstract submission.
•  Submission Deadline:
Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered under any circumstances.
Limitations
•  Number of Submissions:
There is no limit to the number of abstracts an individual may submit, regardless of their role as a presenting author.
•  Presenting Author Limit:
The same person may serve as the presenting author for a maximum of three abstracts.
•  Originality:
Abstracts must be original and must not have been published or presented at any other meeting prior to the IAP2026 Congress.
•  Registration Requirement:
Presenting authors must be registered participants. Only abstracts from authors who have paid their registration fees by the Early Registration Deadline will be scheduled for presentation and included in the congress publications.
•  Copyright/Publication Consent:
Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance of the abstract being published in the official Congress publications.
•  Co-author Approval:
Prior to submission, the presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and agree to its submission.
•  Journal Publication:
All accepted and registered abstracts will be published in the peer-reviewed Journal.
•  Language:
Abstracts must be submitted in English. All abstracts should be written in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling suitable for publication. If needed, please arrange for a review of your abstract by a native English speaker, a university publications office, or a copy editor prior to submission.
•  Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest (COI):
Abstract submitters are required to disclose any conflicts of interest via the submission form.
•  Presentation Instructions:
Instructions for the preparation of presentations will be made available on the congress website at a later date.
Guidelines for Abstract Submission
Before you begin, please prepare the following information:
1.  Presenting Author’s Contact Details:
•  Full first and family name(s)
•  Email address
•  Affiliation details: department, institution/hospital, city, state (if applicable), and country
•  Phone number (with country code)
2.  Author and Co-authors’ Details:
•  Full names and affiliations for all contributing authors.
3.  Preferred Presentation Type:
•  Oral Presentation
•  Poster Presentation
•  Oral or Poster (No preference)
•  Young Pathologist Award
4.  Abstract Title:
•  Must be in UPPER CASE and limited to 25 words.
•  Please write out symbols as words (e.g., "Alpha" instead of "α").
5.  Abstract Text:
•  Limited to 400 words, including acknowledgments.
6.  Abstract Topic:
•  Please select the most appropriate topic from the [list of topics]
7. Images:
•  Please Note: Graphs, tables, and images cannot be included or uploaded.
Abstract Structure & Content
Abstracts should clearly state the following sections:
•  Background and Aims
•  Methods
•  Results
•  Conclusions
Formatting & Ethical Standards:
•  Abbreviations:
Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full term the first time it appears.
•  Drug Names:
Use generic names of drugs. Presentations must be balanced and contain no commercial promotional content.
•  Anonymity:
Submissions must not contain patient names, hospital ID numbers, or any other identifying information.
Submission Process
•  Finalizing Submission:
Click the SUBMIT button at the end of the process to save your abstract.
•  Edits:
You may log in to the system to make changes to your abstract at any time up until the submission deadline. No changes will be possible after the deadline.
•  Confirmation:
You will receive an abstract reference number via email once your submission is complete. Please refer to this number in all future correspondence regarding your abstract.
•  Support:
Please contact us at <iap2026-prg@congre.co.jp> if you do not receive a confirmation email after submitting.
•  Duplicates:
Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.
Abstract Submitters’ Declaration
During abstract submission you will be asked to confirm that you agree to the following:
Please read all items carefully and click "I agree". You will not be able to complete your submission without having agreed to all mandatory items.
1.  I confirm that I previewed this abstract, and that all information is correct. I accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after the deadline, and I am aware that it will be published as submitted.
2.  Submission of the abstract constitutes the consent of all authors to publication (e.g. Conference website, programs, other promotions, etc.)
3.  The Abstract Submitter warrants and represents that no part of the information and content provided by him/her (Hereafter: the "Content") to IAP2026 and c/o Congres Inc. and its affiliates (together: the "Organizers"), nor the publication of any such Content by each of the Organizers, on the internet or otherwise infringes any third party rights, including but not limited to privacy rights and/or intellectual property rights.
4.  The Abstract Submitter grants each of the Organizers the license and right to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content or any part thereof, in any manner and on any platform or media whatsoever, in each Organizer's absolute discretion, on a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive basis.
5.  I herewith confirm that the contact details saved in this system are those of the presenting author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The presenting author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract. The submitting author may request to be copied on the abstract correspondence.
6.  I understand that the presenting author must be a registered participant.
7. The Organizers reserve the right to remove from publication and/or presentation an abstract which does not comply with the above.
8. I understand that I must select a specific Topic for my abstract allocation. Although the Committee will work hard to honor this selection, this cannot be guaranteed. The Committee reserves the right to change the Topic under which the abstract was originally submitted.
9. I confirm to have received the consent of all authors for the processing of their contact details by c/o Congres Inc. and the Organizers.
